A control cabinet is a device that assembles switchgear, measuring instruments, protective appliances, and auxiliary equipment in a closed or semi closed metal cabinet or screen according to electrical wiring requirements. Its layout should meet the requirements of normal operation of the power system, facilitate maintenance, and not endanger the safety of personnel and surrounding equipment. During normal operation, the circuit can be connected or disconnected using manual or automatic switches. When there is a malfunction or abnormal operation, use protective appliances to cut off the circuit or sound an alarm. Measuring instruments can display various parameters during operation, adjust certain electrical parameters, and provide prompts or signals for deviations from normal working conditions. Commonly used in various power generation, distribution, and substations.

Maintenance and upkeep

1. Disconnect the power supply, check if the frame of the control cabinet has a reliable grounding, and ensure that the grounding resistance is not greater than 4 Ω.

2. There are different types of voltages on the control cabinet (DC 110V; AC single-phase 220V; three-phase AC), and the circuit must be distinguished during maintenance to prevent short circuit accidents.

3. All electrical switches on the control cabinet should operate flexibly and reliably, without significant noise. The connecting wire joints and terminals should not be loose, and the steel wire at the connecting wire joints of the moving contacts should not be broken.

4. Use a soft brush or hair dryer to remove dust from the screen board connectors and all electromagnetic switch components, and check the status and contact condition of the electrical switch contacts inside the control cabinet, the insulation of the coil surface, and the reliability of the mechanical components.

5. When replacing the fuse, the melting current should be matched with the current of the circuit.

The control cabinet is mainly used for tower free water supply in high-rise buildings, constant pressure water supply for fire deep well pumps, and other occasions where the pump speed needs to be closed-loop adjusted according to real-time water usage conditions. It adopts well-known brands of frequency converters, intelligent controllers, pressure sensors, and water pumps to form a closed-loop control system.
