The water curtain cabinet is a commonly used wet-type, environmentally friendly purification device in the painting industry. It’s also referred to as a spray painting water curtain machine or water curtain dust removal cabinet. It’s widely utilized in various painting and sanding processes for different types of workpieces. By utilizing the principle of water circulation, it captures paint mist and dust, helping to ensure that waste gases from the workshop are discharged in compliance with regulations. This makes it an essential piece of equipment for painting production lines.

The device consists of a cabinet body, an overflow water supply system, water curtain panels, a circulating water tank, and a negative-pressure exhaust component. During operation, the fan creates a negative pressure in the workspace, drawing paint mist and dust generated during spraying and sanding into the cabinet. The circulating water pump sends water to the overflow trough at the top of the cabinet, where it flows over the water curtain panels to form a continuous water barrier. Suspended particles are absorbed by the water and collected in the bottom tank. Impurities settle to form paint residue, while the water can be filtered and reused, reducing water consumption.

The cabinet body can be customized according to requirements. Stainless steel is ideal for applications involving corrosive paints, while PP material is lightweight and resistant to acids and alkalis, making it suitable for small to medium-sized light industrial processing. Cold-rolled steel plates, coated with plastic for protection, provide a sturdy structure that doesn’t deform easily. They’re perfect for furniture and hardware spraying applications. The tight fitting of the panels prevents paint mist from escaping through cracks in the cabinet.

The device is easy to operate. Once installed and calibrated, it’s ready for use. Maintenance involves regularly removing paint residue from the tank and checking the condition of the pump and pipelines. With its low vibration levels and shock-absorbing fan, the device operates smoothly without disrupting workshop operations.
